DIEN Material Type in Q-Info records

$
0
0

My company uses DIEN material types for services.  Our quality procedures require Q-Info records for purchased materials AND services.

When we use transaction QI01, we can create Q-Info records for DIEN matrerial types, with no problem.   However, transaction QI06 always fails on DIEN material types, when trying to create QINFO records.

The message received on QI06 is "No suitable material/vendor combinations exist".    (The same material/vendor combinations can be created without problem on transaction QI01. )

Without transaction QI06, we lose the ability to mass-create Q-Info records for services.

These are standard SAP transactions and a standard SAP material type.  Why doesn't QI06 work for DIEN material type?  What can we do to make it work?

The ability to use transaction QI06 for DIEN material type will save us a lot of manual, repetitive data entry work.

Thanks much.

(Inspection Lot) Dynamic Modification Rule for Production Order

$

Hi all,

I'm actually working on inspection lot for production Order (inprocess). I'm only interessed by the computation of the dynamic sample size for the production order: For example If the material is controlled 5 times without problem, he goes to reduced inspection ... .

Thanks to your forum and tutorial like this one , i have already understand lot of things. Howerver, i found nothing for a sample procedure with dynamic modification rule.

To rich my goal i have to :

-MM02: quality management , assign inspection type Y03

-QS21 : create a Master Inspection Characteristic (in my case a qualitative: Accepted/rejected)

-QDV: Create a sampling procedure. As i want my sampling procedure to be dynamic , i have to link it with a sampling scheme (QDP1) and a dynamic modification rule (QDR1).

-CA02: modify the routin of the material. modify control key of operation "inspection" to YP04 and assign my MIC and my sampling procedure to this operation.

-coois: release my production order. Insp. lot create automaticly.

-QA32: Save the result in usage decision. ( i dont want to create Quality Notification even if there is a non conformity), so i record nothing in "Results".

My question is very simple : Will it work ?

Is it possible to have dynamic rule for production order? Do i need a inspection plan ?

Thank you very much to help me for my first topic on this forum

I will be very happy to share a tutorial when ill do it concretely.

Copy of Inspection results from Lot to Lot

$

Hi Experts,

Our client receipts the goods from the vendor in different lots for the same material, inspection lots will generated separately based on the WBS requirement,

They have to perform the results recording(QA32) activity repeatedly although the material is same since inspection lots generated differently as per the WBS.

We looking for the solution for the following issues :

1) Different inspection lots to one single lot :

Can we make any settings in configuration or in master data so as to convert the different inspection lots in to One singe lot (here procurement is based on WBS requirement) while receipting the goods to avoid the repeated results recording activity.

2) Make settings for Copy inspection Results:

We are using ECC 6.0 (no enhancement pack),  in which there is no option in configuration to make the settings for Copy the inspection results from one lot to another where as the same option is available in ECC 6.0 EHP 3.0 +.

Now how can we bring the Copy inspection results settings to ECC 6.0 sap system (no enhancement pack),

In ECC 6.0 , we found  BAPI  program of InspLotCharacter.SetResult and InspLotCharacter.GetResult, but the program is in stop mode.

Can we use this program to make the availability of configuration settings to facilitate Copy inspection results option from one lot to another

How can we make our ECC 6.0 (no enhancement package) to facilitate the configuration settings to provide the feature of copy inspection results,

Can any one Please help on these these two issues, your support will be appreciated

Thanks in advance

inspection method linked document

Dear SCN Community,

during changing a inspection method (QS33) and link it to a document, the button to create a new document (Transaction CV01N) is missing. In other applications like QM02 or IE02 the same dynpro appears with a white-letter button to create a document on the place as in following screenshot red marked. Currently users have to create first the document and search it over QS33 where the search function is very user unfriendly.

Is there any possibility to activate this function on this screen?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Kind regards,
MK.

When I used sampling procedure in the inspection plan for some MICs, if I need to setup sampling procedure for every single characteristic?

$

Hi Gurus,

When I use sampling procedure to calculate the sample size,

e.g. inspection plan has 3 MICs,

First MIC used sampling procedure, size is 1 KG,

Second used sampling procedure, size is 5 KG,

Third does not use sampling procedure. And nowhere to setup the sample size for this MIC.

When I generate the Insp. Lot for 100 KG. The sample size is 100 KG. Not 5KG as expected.

If I also setup sampling procedure for third MIC, the calculation works fine.

When I used sampling procedure in the inspection plan for some MICs, if I need to setup sampling procedure for every single characteristic?

Thanks,

Stanley.

Possibility to create attachments(docs/pics etc) for a quality notification

$

Hello QM Experts,

I need your advise on the below scenario requirement.

In QN, there is a requirement to add attachments -Files/pics/emails etc) both at header level & item/Task level as well

I know that currently SAP ( ECC 6.0) supports this requirement via the ' Services for Object 'feature that is readily available as a std in QN & that supports this requirement to add attachments -Files/pics/emails etc) both at header level & item/Task level as well.

But there are certain possible constraints around this feature:-

1.Possible file size( File limit MB/GB..??)

2.It is not very user friendly in terms of readily indicating to users of QN of the attachments at every level( QN header/item etc) ..It needs a bit of navigation

3.Also there is no feature to support attaching files -docs etc at the cause level( QN header/item level)

The SAP DMS feature was explored & client not happy with this due to complexity of build/cost vs benefit etc

So what I am really after  is this..

Is there any enhancement/exit available around the Std SAP 'Services for Object' feature in the QN area?  that will make the feature more user friendly in terms of limiting the file size( issue warnings etc) , readily indicate to QN users  the attachments in the QN at every level-Header /item cause level  if possible w/o much of navigation

If yes, what are the pre requisites to implement the same.

Pl advise

Many Thanks

Stability study

$
0
0

Purpose

Stability studies are performed to examine the effects of different conditions, for example, temperature, humidity, and/or brightness on a product and on the properties of this product over a predefined period of time. To perform a stability study, you must form physical samples of the product and store these physical samples under controlled storage conditions.  Next, parts of these physical samples must be removed at planned, or unplanned, times during the stability study and tested according to predefined or flexible inspection specifications.  The stability study is integrated in the quality management processes (quality notification, sample management, inspection planning, and inspection processing), and also uses plant maintenance functions, for example, maintenance planning and scheduling.  This functionality works on quantitative characteristics only.

Some examples of business requirements in various industries are:

  • Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry
  • High Tech Industry
    • Expiry date determination
    • Stability test in R&D
    • Retest samples

  · Consumer Products Industry

    • Expiry date determination
    • Keeping quality tests of daily production batches
    • Retest samples

  · Automotive Suppliers

    • Stability tests of lacquers
    • Reliability tests of electronic parts and semiconductors

          Prerequisites

If you do not wish to use the predefined materials and characteristics, you will need to follow these steps.

         1) Create a material, copying SS001 in plant 3000. The setup of the QM view is required. A BOM is not required, but can be used.

          2) Create a batch.  This is necessary even if you are using the predefined inspection plan and material.

      3) Create an inspection plan.  This is where you will assign the various inspection characteristics or the master inspection characteristic.  It is important that all characteristics are here, due to the new functionality of flexible inspection planning.  You will have the ability to select which characteristics you want to test later, rather than having all the characteristics automatically default into the inspection lot.
In order to schedule the required inspections for the stability tests, at different points in time, you have to maintain maintenance packages for the single inspection operations. This can only be done using the Engineering Workbench (transaction CWBQM) for inspection plan maintenance.

Process Flow

Once a study has been opened, the process is divided into the following phases;

  1. 1) Phase 1 – Initial Test
  2. 2) Phase 2 – Stability Planning
  3. 3) Phase 3 – Stability Tests

  1. Procedure 1 – Initial Test
  2. Procedure 2 – Stability Planning
  3. Procedure 3 – Stability Tests

Procedure 1 – Initial Test

In this phase, you will create a study, create the initial sample, confirm the sample, create the inspection lot and complete the initial test.

Initial Test

  1. Log onto R/3 using your own id.

  7. Select layout (Settings -> Layout -> Choose, or press Shift F11) and Choose “/MII” which includes the inspection lot short text. The short text contains the name of the study. So, it is easier for you to pick out the right inspection lots.

   Capture.PNG

8  .If you have used the existing inspection plan, please note that the inspection lots created for 3 months contain 2 inspection operations whereas the inspection lots scheduled for 6 months contain only 1 inspection operation. This is because different maintenance packages are assigned to the inspection plan operations.

Sales Org. to be auto populated when creating QN based on user authn profile/roles

$

Hello QM Experts,

There is a requirement to ensure that users creating QN( custom)in SAP have the Sales Org field auto populated/default in the QN.Client requires that user A belonging to market/Sales Org X can only create QN for the same org. X.Likewise change QN should also have the same restriction built in( possibly grey out the Sales Org field as its defaulted).

The approach is to add the sales org in user authn profile/role & have a auto check during QM01/QM02 & default the value

Pl advise if there is a way to design/build this around user profile

Dear all

I need to pull a report to obtain all the batches that have a remaining shelf life of thirty days and those for whom we do not have any SLED maintained.

Moreover I would like to know in which plant are they located (we use class type 023). Finally I would like to pull this couple of lists into Excel.

We use the Batch Information Cockpit.

Thank you

Mass change inspection plans

$

Hello,

I'm looking for a possibility to insert a characteristic in 1000 plans.

The new characteristic "B" is needed in every plan who has a characteric "A" yet. So it's no problem to find the relevant plans. But characteristic "A" is always in a different operation and has always a different Inspection plan characteristic number.

Whether the new characterist "B" is insert with Inspection plan characteristic number "777" that is free in any way or the more elegant solution would be that it gets the Inspection plan characteristic number directly after the characteristic "A".

Do you have an idea what could be a fast way to do this? It's not necessary that it works totaly automatic, but it shoul dnot take to much steps.

Thanks in advance.
