Routing characteristics - counter in table PLMK?
Hi gurus,
I have a situation where I am supposed to identify the routing characteristics which are basically displayed in CA03.
I am supposed to do that by:
- 1. first searching for the PLNNR in table PLKO where I have only one group counter and one line for my group - so this is pretty simple.
- 2. Then I pass the PLNNR to table PLPO where I see that I have 6 nodes and 6 counters - so six line altogether, all in one task list type.
- 3. I go to table PLAS where again, using PLNNR I find out that only one of my 6 nodes is deleted - has a deletion indicator therefore, the corresponding operation does not exist. Only one task list type and it is N.
so far so good. The issue rises in step 4:
- 4. I go to table PLMK where I enter only the PLNNR, I enter the PLNTY and I get all inspection characteristics assigned. Some of them have deletion flags so I go to step 5:
- 5. I try to compare the counters in order to find which is the most current and existing data. As far as I understand, the largest counter for a certain combination of PLNNR+Node+Characteristic is the valid one. However, in CA03 I do not see e.g. characteristic number 10 while in the PLMK table the largest counter for this characteristic does not have a deletion flag; no change number is noted and so on.
Can someone assist with explaining the logic of counters in table PLMK and whether there is another table where by counter, PLNNR, Node and characteristic one could fine whether this particular characteristic is blocked? I was looking for a relationship similar to the one with table PLKO and PLAS unfortunately I couldn't find one.

Realistic settlement of quantities used for sampling and inspection
Dear all
When we retrieve a sample during in-process inspections, we simply settle those quantities with the yield of the process order. But in the rest of the cases, the samples retrieved are obtained even from finished products. Unluckily these are not small flasks, but bags of several kilograms. As you can imagine, some kilos here and there and if you do not book it, the inspection lot quantities feed the sales ATP, and this feeds the batch determination, then the delivery note, then the transport freight, and the customer receives quantities that are not realistic, because he is missing some kilos.
In the past, there was a monthly transfer posting to a cost center related to sampling. Now the business does not want to proceed like this. Which other solution could be proposed? The business goal is to be realistic with the booking and posting of the quantities used during sampling and inspection. If we used 12, good, we post 12. Now they remove these quantities but it goes to the customer with some kilos less.
A monthly posting of this differences will not be used. For each inspection lot, they should be able to post quantities used in sampling and inspection. This is even more when they have doubts and they have to pull several samples for a single inspection.

I met an error which A QM Order has no settlement rule when I did CO88 .I don't know why the QM Order is settled and when the QM Order was created. the order type of the QM order is defect costs . Do you know the reason ? can you help me ? thank you very much.

Unable to reverse the stock in quality inspection
Hi All,
An Inspection lot has been generated against a PO and GR (101 MVMT) has been done and now the stock is available in Quality inspection. By mistake User has cancelled the Inspection lot and reverted it. Now when he tries to post the stock to Un-restriced use through MB1B (MVMT 321), we are getting the following error as " Change the Inspection stock of the material XX in QM only. Can any one please help me in this.

Serial Number missing in MIGO
Hello,
I'm having an issue with serial number. In fact, when I do the transaction QA32, the material document is created. But when I check in MIGO, the serial number is missing.
I already checked the Work Scheduling in MM03. The serial number profile is well assigned.
I also checked QMSL procedure. The serial number usage is set to 03 (i.e. obligatory)
Grateful if someone could shed some light on which direction should I continue to investigate.

Inspection point results and posting yield conformation
Hi Experts
I am a pp consultant and need some clarifications about inspection points. as per the present set up , I observed that the last result recording value of the inspection points transfers to the process order batch. But how can I do the configuration such that average/minimum/max value of inspection points result transfer to the batch as per my choice? I tried to do the configuration with inspection point identifier where help field says about above requirement but actually I could able to enter maximum number of inspection points only . Can any body explain this requirement in detail with configuration t codes?
The second requirement is can I able to post the partial Lot yield quantity of inspection point after doing RR ? If so how to achieve this and what are the settings needed and what point of time ?
Requested to help me in achieving above requirements.

Email for Usage decision after inspection lot creation

i need an email triggered after a inspection lot is created by delivery or by production to quality end user for making UD for the respective lot & an email after the UD has been done by quality end user to user who created the lot.

Workflow triggered twice for Quality Notification
While releasing and completing the notification tasks, the events RELEASED and COMPLETED are triggered twice.
I checked in BSVW wherein the same event is linked to two set of statuses, one standard status(TSCO and TSRL) and one user status(REL and CLS).
How can i prevent the event from getting triggered from the standard status change? I need it to be triggered from the custom status change only.

Inspection lot generation for stock transfer posting
Dear All,
We have 2 different scenario where user wants to create inspection lot and post stock to QI. Suggest which inspection type can be used for these below mentioned scenario or sow way around excluding 89 as in insp type 89 stock is not posted to QI.
Scenario 1 - A produced batch is inspected for 04 lot type then cleared from QI stock to Unrestricted and then afterwards in some cases for process requirement split the batch stock into 2 new batch id and transfer stock through different transfer posting movement types. Now user wants to do inspection of these 2 new batch stock through creation of Insp. lot and posting of stock to QI.
Scenario 2 - A batch is produced and is inspected for 04 lot type but during inspection certain quantity of the stock gets diverted or rejected and posted to new batch ID, remaining stock in original batch is still in QI. Now user wants to do inspection of the new batch stock through creation of Insp. lot and posting of stock to QI.

Goods in transit using 107 & 109 mvmt types
Dear All,
As per our business requirement we are using movement types 107 and 109.
When I post with 107 into valuated GR-blocked stock when the ship is loaded,Inspection lot is created. We do UD with Accepted and Invoice payment down without stock transfer, then we do 109, again Inspection lot is created. now we are doing stock transfer to own stock.
Our client requirement is
1. Dont want stock transfer tab for lot created by 107. but required for 109.
2. Or while doing 109, no inspection lot generate.
3. dont require two inpsection lots from 107 and 109.

01 inspection lot on goods receipt from UB STO
Hi all,
i am trying to create a process flow for a subassembly to route external for an activity and be inspected when we receive it back. To accomplish this i am packing the SA into a handling unit, creating a UB sto and packing the batch onto a delivery which i am receiving back again into same plant. However even though i have 01 setup with HU managed and an inspection plan configured it will not generate a 01 inspection lot on goods receipt and product routes into Unrestricted. The migo receipt screen defaults to Unrestricted and when i change this to QI it does route to QI but without an inspection lot. The goods are being received in using 101 movement type and the handling unit is available. See inspection setup below.
Where am i going wrong?

I have some problem QM. In my objective, I want to move all MICs data from old client to new client. And then I upload via LSMW.
Problem, I don't get data in 'Control Indicator'. How to get data from 'Control Indicator' area.

Document upload in SAP QM
Is there any way by which user can upload external test report in the SAP for the QA purpose for example Test Certificate, which can be used or attached in result recording screen. Also how can we upload physical document or soft copy of Inspection method in SAP QM. There are several documentation of Inspection Method , users wants that for evey single method documentation will be uploaded in the system with the respective inspection method.

Q-Info Record Revision Level
Hi Expert,
I am new to QM module.
I am having difficulty for understanding "Revision Level" on the Quality Inforecord creation.
I would like to create Q-Info record using QI06 transaction. I am getting different revision level records.
Please explain to me actually what is meant by Revision Level on Quality Info Record.

inspection lot not generated for lot origin 08
Dear All,
I had activated inspection type JP08 (copy of 08). but when I posted stock from one storage location to other no lot were generated. I have checked following in SPRO - Maintain Inspection Types, Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types setting and found it to be ok. Can any suggest where I may have mis-stepped.

Issue "The incoming quality certificate could not be stored" in QCERT idoc

We are getting the QCERT idoc from external system for purchase order , and when tried to post it gives the message "The incoming quality certificate could not be stored " and the idoc status changes to 52. Please let me know if u have encountered this issue.

Why movement type 653 checked deactivate qm inspection?
Dear Expert,
I would like to create a new sales return movement type 953 copy from 653 without creating inspection lot.
I check the IMG setting of movement 653, and find deactivate QM inspection already checked.
When i post the return stock with 953 or 653, the system still create a return inspection lot for inspection type 06.
The help say if you check the deactivate QM inspection then there is no inspection lot create, but it's not true.
Could anyone tell me why?
