Select Storage Bin/Pallet Number during UD
Hi Team,
I have received one requirement from our Client. For the release of the full batch there is no issue. But for partial release, Quality approver want to select the storage Bins or Pallets he want to specifically release in UD screen (QA11) to release the partial quanity.
Can you please help me on that?

user exit or badi to update custom fields in inspection lot in qa02
Hi Experts,
using screen badi i have added 4 custom fields in QA01,QA02,QA03 .I need to edit workarea in qa02 and update custom fields values into QA02 tcode .
The user exit QPL10001 which is useful in work area update is not working for QA02.
please help me in finding user exit or BADI to update custom field values in qals.

Defect codes during result recording valuation
Hi;
I need more info on field “At Lower Tolerance” (PLMKB-CODEGR9U) as used in inspection plan (Defect codes for rejection)?
I’m familiar with field “General” (PLMKB-CODEGRQUAL) which will automatically assign Defect code for a rejected valuation during results recording.
Anyone with a different approach to than online help?
We have a requirement for system to automatically default 1 of 2 defect codes per inspection characteristic, during rejected valuation, e.g.:
Defect code X1 when result is between “Lower spec. lmt” & “LoPlausibility limit”
Defect code X2 when result is below “LoPlausibility limit”
Can anyone assist with more info on this scenario?

QA32 - Incorrect selection

For some reason I am getting erroneous results while running QA32. While running the transaction I select 'Inspection lot without a usage decision':
When I execute I can see an inspection lot for which usage decision has already been made:
An idea why this happens? Your responses will be highly appreciated.

QGC1, QGC2 & QGC3 Reports
Hello
I'm unable to run these reports - the message I get after executing these transactions is 'no entries found'. My security profile does have access to the object Q_SPC. I'm able to run the MCXB & MCXD trxns - but not these three. I've inspection lots which are results recorded and UDed with sampling procedure having 'fixed sample','manual valuation' and 'shewart chart for x-bar/samples/USA' and inspection plan has the correspoding MICs assigned with this sampling procedure and SPC criterion 'master insp characteristic'.
what else should I do to access these reports? If the above setup is wrong, can sombody direct me in the right direction pl.?

DMR update to an excising inspection plan
Hello Expert,
SAP is already live at our place long back but we are not using DMR yet. Not per business requirement we are planning to use DMR. So I created DMR rule and wanted to assign DMR at characteristics level to an excising inspection plan. Now when I'm going in QP02 to assign DMR rule somehow system is not allowing me to add DMR rule becuase that filed itself is disable (not editable) in QP02 screen. Please refer QP02 screen shot attached for more information.
Not sure what I'm missing. What could be the reason? Reply appreciated.
System does allow to add DMR rule against characteristics when I create brand new line but doesn't allow to add DMR (not editable) for an excising line.
If I go to at QP02 header level "Modification rule" is editable but not at characteristic level.

How can I post scrap to the vendor cost center or QM order when IQC UD
The raw material from overseas vendor ,with one or two of ten scrap and the scrap will settle on vendor cost center or QM order,
I would like to post the scrap inventory to the vendor cost center or QM order when IQC UD.Please don't tell me the standard way is to return or block the material and return to the vendor, it will keep the purchase order open can't be closed.

UD made but inspection lot quantities in WM are wrong
On the same day, we received two shipments of the same batch of material from a vendor. Inspection Lot A = 119cs. Inspection Lot B = 13cs. A total of 132cs. BEFORE materials actually were placed in WM bin locations, our Quality Group instructed the Receiving department to break down the pallets - and separate goods by Julian Date. (Quality became aware in advance that a certain Julian Date was bad.) The two inspection lots (one pallet each) turned into 6 locations based on Julian and Receiving erroneously scanned all in as Inspection Lot B.
Not realizing this would create a WM problem, Quality made usage decisions on both inspection lots. Is correcting the Actual Lot quantity an option? We can't clear TR Zones. System reports because UD has been made, we can't adjust lot quantities. If I try QA12 to change the UD, I don't see how to reverse it so inventory is Q. Thanks in advance.

COA to be display sold to party for output types in VL71
Hello QM guru's,
We are facing an issue for long time. The condition record for COA output type for external send (ZMD1,ZMD2,ZMD3,ZMD4) has been set up for ship to and sold to part both.
For some reason the Sold party address output for COA is not getting triggered for delivery in VL71
Could you point at any possible reasons why sold party addresses not coming on COA output?
Input in VL71 –
- Output Type- ZMD1
- Transmission Medium
- Sort order 01
- Processing Mode 1
- Shipping Point/Receiving Pt- xxx
- Delivery-XXXXXX
Execute –
Print preview result – Sold to party address not getting populated on COA

SAP QM - SPC Charts plotting values on future dates
Dear QM Gurus,
When SPC control charts show data through QGC1/2/3 - why does the graph plot the result values on different dates in future.
Kindly refer the attached image and provide your thoughts which would be very helpful for me to understand more on SPC in QM.

Getting Message QS178 , You cannot use entries from catalogs 1 and 3
Dear Sir,
We are using QS21 for creating MIC and during this getting error "You cannot use entries from catalogs 1 and 3" .
We searched on sdn and referred the sdn link You cannot use entries from catalogs 1 and 3 .
As per this link , click on Control Indicator and then tick check box of Charct Attribute (pl see the attached image) . But I could not find any such field under tab Type .
I request experts , to kindly help me for resolving the reported issue pl .

Sample size and sample procedure
Hi QM experts,
There is a inspection plan, and have two MIC: Characteristic_A and Characteristic_B, but different sample procedures.
Characteristic_A SampleProcedureA: inspect 10%
Characteristic_B SampleProcedureB: inspect 20%
And we can see the sample size in QA03. I want to know How to calculate this sample size? By inspect 10% or 20%?

Value of class characteristic is not getting transferred.
While trying to do a M2M transfer for the same batch. In some cases the value of a specific class characteristic is not getting copied to the new material batch combination.
Can someone please throw some light on the issue?

sampling with DMR
Hello,
History of my question is available to below thread but somehow I marked it to "answered" per previous question I'm posting here second issue regarding sampling.
DMR update to an excising inspection plan
After adding DMR to an inspection plan I found one strange thing regarding sampling. As I said earlier we are not using DMR and we have just one sampling procedure which is fixed size - 1 KG. Even there is no use SDP in our system. So when system creates an inspection lot system won't assign any sample to the lot, but business go in QPR6 and create sample manually to do result recording.
Now after assigning DMR what I found is system auto creates two sample for the lot. One as Pooled sample while 2nd as Primary. I'm not understanding why does system do like that? I do not want system to create two samples at the lot creation.

QM Master Inspection Characteristics subcontracting Process
Hi all
I created inspection plan for raw material, in inspection task list i maintain 2 operation
1st operation i maintained some MIC, & i maintain control key as external processing & in checked a subcontracting check box & maintained the service vendor information at that operation,
My problem is when system generates the inspection lot after GR done for purchage order.
system should generate service purchage requistion for 1st operation.
what setting i need to do.
