One of my client requirement is, they send equipment's at client place for service, they want a field in delivery where they can maintain whether quality certificate of equipment is attached, same way as we can maintain in MIGO against purchase order where we have that check whether we have certificate attached yes or no.

Please guide whether we can achieve the same during delivery creation.

I have a query about where SAP pulls its time stamps from for transactions.

For example, my company is an American company but I am based in Ireland.

Some reports/transactions have the time in US time and others have the time in Irish (GMT) time.

This has created an issue in the past. We do know that its server based, but we need to be able to prove this without fear of contradiction.

Any advice or transactions you guys know of that we could run to see where the time is been pulled from.

One example we have is MB51. We know for sure this is been pulled in US (California) time. BUT as this is 8 hours behind us, its causing conflicts with releases of materials etc. i.e. it looks like a material was released before it was received etc....

We don't mind using the 2 time zones but we just need to be able to explain it in the event of been questioned on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for report which will display the list of material along with inspection lots for a particular period. And it will have all the recorded characteristic results with history(who change at what time) for all the material in table form.

Please don't send the list of standard QM reports. i already gone through it.

the same HU rather created new one.

Hi Experts,

I have a machine used for inspecting the incoming purchased materials. Using its own software and technology involved in this enable measuring characteristics values and record the results in its own database.

In current SAP System we don't have detailing inspection plan as like as what exactly the characteristics and its sequencing involved during inspection against of inspection lot & that material requires.

We have generic inspection plan not the specific one in SAP, eventually we are not recording the inspected results in SAP QM result recording screen, it is done outside SAP system.

Now Business requirement is to upload the results automatically in SAP results recording screen as soon as Inspection machine stored the inspection results so as to keeping QM process streamline and systematically in SAP system to have better QM visibility and control.

What are all the better options available currently to integrate Inspected results being stored in Inspection Machine to SAP results recording screen.

How much Technical development involved, what kind of inputs we need to give for developer in case of development. Do we have easiest, less time consuming(i.e development) and better tool to integrate. What are all the challenging's might face and additional data maintenance and pre requisites required.

I am facing error at the time of GR in MIGO as below:

"Change the inspection stock of material xxxx in QM only"

1. I have created material with QM view wherein I have activate inspection type 01.

    Note: In default value of inspection type 01, there is no check mark for Post to insp. stock. I have marked this check box for the said material.

2. Created PO.

3. Try to do GR in MIGO but facing above error.

Case 2:

Inspection lot do not get created even inspection type 01 is activated in above case when check mark is not tick for Post to insp. stock. As per my understanding inspection lot should create & stock should post to unrestricted.

Please clear this.

We have develop the program for transfer posting during QM notification ,But there is not any proper linkage between data put in item tab in QM notification and transfer posting.Due to which user some time forget to enter materials if number of material are more.

Please suggest some thing how to link so that after liking on action Box for transfer posting ,whatever we have entered in Item Tab should come automatically in transfer posting (MIGO screen) in mat short text and qty UnE .

I have come across a weird issue, I have copied an existing notification type and a new Notification type has been created.

But in new notification type, It is not saving anything in 'Coding' defect... ( neither code / neither description / and Long text ).

It is not poping any message also....

I have checked the screen 031 is existing ( for my new notification type ) in;

As per client requirement, I have mapped Inspection points for In-process inspection. Inspection characteristic are assigned to operation of routing.

whenever user record the results, auto valuation should happen based on results for each MIC's.

I have made the setting as below :-

At plant level in Customisation maintain the following

1) Plant level -  Result Recording

2) Inspection point field combination : FR1( customised as per requirement)

3)  partial Lot Assign : Partial lot for each inspection point

4) Proposal for inspection point valuation :  Maintain any of the selected set coded you have created for 03 inspection or 04 inspection( WHEN THIS IS USE, I GUES AT THE TIME OF UD??)

5) Recording configuration - No background function

Master Data Required

1) Maintain 03 inspection in MM02

2) Selected set for 03 inspection for the particalur plant

3) Sampling procedure with selection of inspection point as this mandatory

4) Sampling type - Fixed sample

5) Valuation mode - Attributive Inspection nonconf.units

6) Inspection Pts -  Free inspection pts

7) Sample size -1

8) MIC are Qualitative

At transaction level

1) create order co01, release and save . lot will be created.

2) Do the opertion confirmation if there is any operation mentioned in the routing before the qm operation

3) go to qa32.> result > you will get a pop of all the operation with yellow traingle mentioning QM is active in that operation. double click on the QM operation

4) pop will come for entering SERIAL NUMBER AS I HAVE DEFINE INSPECTION POINTS AS SERIAL NUMBER>

When recording the results for each characteristic, its should auto valuate. but in this case it is not happening? Dont know why.

Do we required to confirm the operation use for Inspection characteristics.

Auto UD for inprocess Inspection, Is it possible??

Hoping you can help looking for a report to run by characteristics across multiple materials in one plant.

QGP1 is quite nice except you can only run for one characteristic at time and if you take off the material selection in the results history it takes off the plant selection also so not exactly what we are looking for. The other one is QGA4 and using the Characteristics table Graph which is great the only problem there is the material code is not on the output. Does anyone have any ideas would be greatly appreciated e.g. what we want

Dear All,

I have inspection lot with inspection type 04 and user has to do RR.

Inspection lot have Operation 0010, 0020, 0030, 0040 and 0050.

for the Operation 0030 user has done changes 18 times RR for the Char and duplicate entries are found in table QASE with Combination Inspection lot number, Node, Char and Resultno screen shot attched.

When user run the TCode QE51N & QE03 for operation 0030 that ABAP Run time error come and not able to Lock the Results.

please help. also provide if any sap note available.

Kindly can I know whether is it possible to make characteristics values entry mandatory while making usage decision for type"04" inspection type.

We are maintaining the CLASS for the HEADER part number against which characteristics values need to be maintained.For me user is not entering the values and proceeding without entering the specification inspection activity done in Production line.

I have came across requirement of Printing QR Code (Quick Response Code) or 2D Bar Code on Smartforms or Download it as an Image file.

Here, I am going to explain "How it can be done?"

Step 1: Upgrade the Kernel if Required

Log in to the SAP >> SAP Easy Access Screen >> System Menu >> Status

Now, Click on the component to check the SAP_BASIS release 731

Close the pop-up dialog and click on the arrow button. The Kernel Version Should be 321 or superior. If it is not then ask your Basis Team to upgrade it.

Step 2: Implement SAP Note 2029824

Ask the Developer to implement the note

2029824 - Support for QR code and data matrix bar code

Step 3: SAP Script Font Maintenance

After successful implementation of the SAP Note. Go to Transaction SE73.

Click on System Bar Code option and Click on Change.

Click on Create(F5).

Click on New (new Barcode Technology)

Define the Name and Description of the Bar code.

Select Bar Code Symbology as "QR Code 2005" and Click OK. Select Alignment as "Normal"

Choose Mode, Module Size, Error Correction Level (Refer the SAP note 2030263 for further information)

in this example, I've used material Number to be encoded in QR Code.

Test The SmartForm

We can use the same procedure to include the QR code on your SmartForms.

This Bar Code can encode up to 255 characters (it is the limit).But, I think, 255 characters enough.

Using this you can shrink the size of your label. You can encode the address information as QR Code and save the space on the form for more details and many more.

I accidently post transfer posting and goes to QI stock.

When i try to use MBST to cancel ,it show error:"

You cannot cancel GR, since inspection lot is already partly posted"

But the status of inspection lot is CRTD(inspection type 0800),not yet UD.

How to move back the stock to unrestricted without UD?

I have created a quality notification in Outstanding status (by activating Active Q.Notification option in SPRO for  particular Defect class) whenever defects will be recorded during result recording. But now quality notification has been created in outstanding staus for all defect classes other than defect class for which Active Q.notification option has been activated. Ple tell me where the problem will be?

QM and WM are both available in our system. This is how we process sample inspection, first we need to create a GR with MvT331 in QA32, then create a TO for moving the stock to a sample inspection warehouse, what we would like to know is that could we set this to automatic post? I tried to maintain it in OMLR, but didn't work.

I will be very appreciate for someone who could give me some advises. Thanks!
