Dear Sirs,
I am facing a problem regarding T-CODE QE51N. When I am save the Process Order Inspection lot is created and copied the inspection lot to QE51N, but after execution I am unable to view the FURTHER INSPECTION tab. Please help me how would I solve the problem.

3-class attribute Sampling
In the food industry (microbiology), we are using what is called as 3-class attribute sampling plans.
The elements in such a plan is:
n=number of samples
m=marginally acceptable limit
M=critical limit
c=number of samples that can fall between m and M
the number of sample units allowed to exceed M is usually set to 0.
Values for the characteristic:
n | c | m | M |
5 | 2 | 1,000 | 10,000 |
Which means, 2 of them are allowed to be between 1,000 and 10,000 cfu/g and the other 3 need to be below 1,000.
Is it possible to set up a sample procedure in SAP that will cover the above, with automatic evaluation?

Cutover Stock Migration with QM approach form As-Is to To-Be system
Hi,
I have made an attempt to write down some of the critical QM steps required during Cutover exercise as a sub-set of overall cutover activities. There can be a combination of scenarios available in the real life business process, where Materials have Q-stock (without QM implemented), Materials are in blocked stock (Without UD), materials are in Unrestricted use, quality and blocked stock, etc. It's necessary to test the processes explained in the attached document and get business signoff, before you can go ahead with the suggested processes. At times, cutover are done directly by clients, and you can help your customer by providing your test results on these lines and prepare better during cutover.
As suggested by many co-consultants in QM forum, I am adding the details in simplified form. Hope it helps a larger audience - (Please also do read the discussion thread at the bottom and there is also some valid interesting views which may help too)
Cutover Stock Migration with QM approach form As-Is to To-Be system
Validate the below configuration nodes–
Quality Management => Quality Inspection => Inspection Lot Creation => Inspection for Goods Movements =>
1. Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type - Check the MvT 561 =>
a. If business wishes to have MvT 561 insp managed, then this should be ACTIVE. Material should also have inspection type “05” added to it.
b. Once the stock is uploaded, an Inspection lot will be created for this MvT 561, for materials having inspection type 05 added in QM view.
c. Upload inspection lot results through data migration activities and then put mass UD with QA16.
d. If business do not wish to have inspection lots created for MvT 561 for all materials, then select "QM not Active" checkbox, do not add “05” inspection type to the material and upload it unrestricted stock.
2. Movement Type/Update Control/Inspection Lot Origin - Check MvT 563 for inspection Lot Origin.
For example –
a. If there are materials in Quality due to existing QM processing – then you should add insp type "05" to the material in To-Be system. Please do not do UD to it.
b. If materials were not Q-managed, but stock was in quality due to logistic movement – then do not add inspection type “05” to these materials while stock upload. Post stock validation, move the material for Q-stock to unrestricted stock by MvT 321.
NOTE: If the materials are ‘digital signature managed’ with QM auth profile added in material master QM view, then you may need to do an enhancement with QA16 + QA11 to put digital signature at background for these materials during UD. Alternatively, you can activate QM auth profile after cutover activities are posted.
c. Post Cutover - Once the initial stock is uploaded, UD is made for all the inspection lots as "A" or "R", proper stock posting happened successfully, then you should deactivate the inspection type "05" form the migrated materials and revert these cutover specific configuration.
3. In case if you have some Q-stock in your As-Is system -
i. Move these stock to To-Be system as Q-Stock only. Use MB1C/MvT 563. You can have this material as Q managed + Add 05 inspection type to material master.
ii. Plan for migrating the Quality results form As-Is system to To-Be system, through data migration approach.
iii. Do not put UD before stock validation for these migrated material/batch stock.
iv. If the materials were not Q-managed, but stock is in quality stock, then make a list of these materials. Move the Q-Stock to unrestricted use stock using MvT 321, but do it after stock validation.
4. If some materials are available in unrestricted use stockin As-Is system–
a. Segregate these materials, which are Q managed and which are not.
b. Those are Q -managed, use MB1C/MvT 561 & put UD = A.
c. Those materials are not Q managed, you can use MB1C/MvT 561 for initial entry post cutover. Do not add inspection type “05” for these materials during cutover.
5. Those materials are in blocked stockin As-Is system–
a. Segregate these materials as Q-managed and Q - not managed.
b. If material is already Q-managed in As-Is system, then upload these stock using MB1C/MvT 563 + UD = R.
c. Upload inspection lot results through data migration activities and then put mass UD with QA16.
d. If material is not Q-managed, then upload the stock using MB1C/MvT 565.
NOTE: Form QM side, for the newly created inspection lots, before putting UD = A or R, user might wish to copy the inspection results from previous system, which you may also need to facilitate with data migration approach.
For the migrated finished goods stock, you can create Inspection report form QA32 for the inspection type 05.
I will like to get your feedback, inputs and guidance to improve this document which will be beneficial to a larger audience. Please keep updating it if this helps a bit.

Status Change in Status Profile QM_P_001
Hi
I have used status profile QM_P_001 in Quality info record. It woks fine as i expected. But i have some query related to this profile provided by SAP.
1. Only Object type Q-info is included here and none of status don't have any Business Transaction, then how the status of Quality info record updated on the UD of the inspection lot.
2. What should i have to to in the system to get the status of 0005 and 0006 as per the attached screen shot.

MIC values not matching results recording QE51N
Hi Everyone,
This has been bugging me and I can't seem to tell why it is doing what it is doing. Here are the MIC settings:
Here we have a single result MIC, complete copy model, and the decimal places in the MIC are set to 2 decimal places:
The sampling procedure is just a fixed sample with sample management.
So we go to QE51N to do results recording for an inspection plan with this MIC. If we go to the indicators tab we see it is marked as a summarized MIC when clearly it wasn't created as such.
Also when we enter the results in, we set the MIC to have 2 decimal places but it insists on making it 3 decimal places:
Does anyone know what could be causing this? This has been frustrating me and I can't tell if this is something that can be configured or if it's an ABAP thing I need debugged.

I have tried MI01....etc. etc. Dont seem to be able to get there.

Inspection lot not cancel for Production order GR reversal
Hello,
User created production order and done GR, inspection lot is created with order GR qty. Then latter user reversed/cancel that GR, now material document is posted with 102 but inspection lot is not cancelled. The stock is still exist in QI stock. I tried to correct the actual qty to zero to clear QI stock but system not allowed me to do. System shows with error message "Deficit of OR GR quantity" with Message no. M7021.Because delivered qty field in production order is Zero since the GR was reversed.I tried to cancel the lot but 'Cancel lot' option is disabled. Current status of Inspection lot is INSP RREC SPRQ.
Active system status.
REL Released
INSP Inspection active
PASG Plan/specification assigned
CCTD Insp. characteristics created
CALC Sample calculated
RREC Results confirmed
SPRQ Quantity posting required
My intention is i need to remove the qty from QI. Even if it's possible to move to unrestricted also it's fine. Why inspection lot is not cancelled when we reverse the production order GR? what may be the reasons? Please suggest the possible option to remove this QI stock

We have a requirement that QC will creat the MIC & Inspection Plan in status created, and QA will review and change the status from Created to Release.So where or in which object level i can put control so that QC not able to select the Status 4 for inspection plan, and Release for MIC.

Transfer of serial numbers stock from quality to unrestricted
Hi Experts,
Few serial numbers of a material X are lying in Quality stock. They need to be transferred to Unrestricted stock.
These serial numbers were received into Quality stock through 101 Mvmt type with reference to Purchase order.
The Inspection lot triggered after GR (101 Mvmt) was taken UD for different set of serial numbers.
The status of the inspection lot now are:
PAOR Insp completion w/o confirm
UD Usage decision has been made
CALC Sample calculated
STIC Short-term insp. completed
ICCO All inspections completed
SPRQ Quantity posting required
SPCO Stock posting completed
STUP Statistics updated

insp lot without specification or Task list ?

I am creating inspection lot by doing Raw material GR. in material master i have maintained the data like inspection with material specification,
but i have Not Maintained any specification for this material , so as for the standard behavior insp lot need to be create with CRTD status, but hear it is created with REL status.
i have tested the same scenario in my QAS there INSP lot created with status CRTD, but the same in DEV it created with REL status, can anybody let me Know , what is the configuration needed to control this .

'External process-0130' Inspection in QM?
Hi Team,
Requesting your valuable help for below scenario.
Step 1: Receiving the material(M1) in GR stage from 'vendor1' - 01 inspection active with one operation(op10-Visual inspection) in Inspection plan .If material ok it should be sent to External process.
Step 2 : Sending received '(M1) material' to External processing to 'vendor2' through P.O
Step3: Recieving the 'processed material' M1 material and Inspection
As per SCN links, I under stood that '0130 inspection type' to be used.
Q1:Prefered tick mark for 0130 / 01 ?
Q2:Where 0130 insp.type should assigned? is it required to assign in any
Q3:If preferd tick put to one of 01/ 0130 inspection type-Automatic insp.lot for 2nd insp.type will not be created?

After updating new MIC in QP02 in Back date not showing current date ?
Hi Guru,
I have updated some new MIC and some Changes are made in existing MIC in QP02 on back date. It is showing on same back date with all correction and new MIC but on today's date i.e. current date it is not showing in the system.
any can help me how to get in current date ?
There are some dump error , for these correction i have updated SNOTE 1467234 and 1471534 in Quality server, but no more effect.

Inspection lot not displayed in T-code QE51N
Hello Gurus,
I have activated inspection type 03 in material master in quality management view.
Then in production routing
Header I have activated inspection point 150,
In operation I have selected control key PP04 (Insp char required)
Detail operation I have given time related with frequency of 2 hours.
For the operations I have assigned MIC's and selected sampling procedure with
inspection point.
When I am releasing the production order Inspection lot is getting generated and
in QA32 I am able to see the inspection lot.
and also able to do the result recording with transaction QE01.
But when I am going to T code QE51N and entering the inspection lot number in
Inspection lot tab system is not displaying the inspection lot nos in QE51N transaction.
and throwing error as No Entries Found with error message as QE651
Kindly help and provide me your valuable suggestions

How do I bring reference of quality inspection lot while creating Q-Notification
Gurus,
I need to create a quality notification based on a purchase order and also refer to an inspection lot. So here is how it should work:
- UD is given and stock posted through QA32. (No notification will be created from this screen when this has a defect).
- Another business person creates a quality notification with reference to purchase order or inspection lot (preferred) using t-code QM01.
I am trying this using notification type Q2; however it only prompts for material document number/purchase document number (and no inspection lot reference). It would have been even okay for me if there were a field to key in the inspection lot number - but I cannot find any.
Now if I create notification from QA32 screen with notification type F2, I could capture the inspection lot:
Is there anyway I can bring this lot number (or at least key it in manually) while creating notification manually through QM01?
Any help will be highly appreciated!

In the table QAMR the MAX-Value, the Min-Value, the Mean value and the Variance value exists, but the Median value is missing.
In the help-context is following:

UD complete without valuation
Hi All,
I am having a unique problem with one of the Inspection lot created with 04 type using MFBF
UD status shows UD ICCO SPCO , but the Inspection lot valuation in the usage decision tab is blank
Stock posting is not completed
When i try to use QA12 it says UD not done , but status shows UD done, material stuck in QI
Can not cancel material document using MF41, MIGO, MBST
Has anybody faced this problem? Iny solution to resolve this?
